Shortening Mirrors

The OEM mirrors on the CS sit on awkward, super long stalks. Many have just replaced them completely with bar end mirrors or other suitable replacements. If you like the stock ones and are CBOA, here is an option:

xxaarraa: haha, euro I was going to look into shortening the mirror stalk tomorrow!! I dont know if the bottom of the stalk is threaded, if not I was thinking of shortening it. They do stick out like sore thumbs.

Euro, here it is. Cut off a clean 1.5 inches from both stalks. I think it made it a little bit better, however I don't like these mirrors in the first place. The next time I want to drop some money on the bike, I am thinking if finding some Ducati folding bar end mirrors.

The ends of the stalks are not threaded. A threaded bolt (with a hollow stalk) slips on at the end and is held in place by another bolt.
